Steve
:
Vocals & Occasional Keys
The only classically trained (and one time professional) musician, but that was back in his trumpet playing days. In the words of Mark Knopfler "They don't give a damn about any trumpet playing band", so Steve saw the light and turned to his second 'instrument', voice.

"A rock band is a rather different challenge from my classical roots. I'd been in bands before but generally on keyboards and backing vocals. Being out front is rather daunting at first and certainly a big challenge, but it's very rewarding when you get it right.

So many cover bands sound like 'our band doing The Police' or 'our band doing Stereophonics', but we take a lot of time and effort over giving each song the flavour of the original. Obviously it's not possible for me to imitate Sting, Kelly Jones or the like, but I try and give each song its own vocal quality."

"It was a blast playing to a large crowd at the West End Festival, and had extra benefits when four Lycra-clad News of the World girls asked if they could join us on stage (sorry girls, I'm spoken for). Fundamentally we're here to put on a show, 'cause we want the audience to enjoy it and in turn that's what gives us a buzz."
